We went to this lovely old school house on a wet Saturday afternoon. Run by some lovely volunteers. We only had a tea bun & a hot drink. They had been very busy, but still had time for us

After enjoying the wonderful views of Port De Grave, we hoped to find a place to eat and we were fortunate to spot this amazing tearoom - and enjoyed the finest Newfoundland charm. Delicious food. We had cod au gratin, with many local dishes available and yummy desserts. Fabulous knit hats and Christmas ornaments available to buy to remind us of our visit. The renovated school house with tables crafted from pews from the neighbouring church (also being transformed) were fascinating. And best of all, we enjoyed the friendly team running the tearoom - from the inspiring chef, to Gran telling us of her original recipes to the women telling us about the art and crafts on display. Made our trip to the area.

Highly recommend ! We had a family milestone dinner party. The tradional newfie meal was sensational! The service superb-friendly and the attention to detail to ensure our event went well was matchless. The ambience and quaint, nostalgic restoration of the building made it a true Newfounland experience. One of the best private dinner experiences we ever had!
